When Leela began her college-preparatory classes in 2017, production started on Kiss.
The film premiered in the year 2019 with a positive reception and a good box-office take. Two reviewers, Sharadhaa of The New Indian Express and Vinay Lokesh of The Times of India Both were of the opinion that Leela did a great job making a first impression with her performance.
Bharaate which was a film where she co-starred alongside Sriimurali, was released one month after. Sharadhaa in The New Indian Express said, “This is Sreeleela’s second film and she appears to be getting more comfortable with the camera and delivering the kind of performance that the role requires.”
Leela made her debut in the first Telugu movie, the romantic musical Pelli SandaD, in 2021. It was a “part to be cherished,” according to the actress.
Although the film, in general, was not praised, however, Leela’s performance was highly praised.
