Career
1986 was the year she began her career in journalism. She was appointed as a CBS News assistant. As a general assignment, she worked as an anchor and reporter for WQAD-TV.
Kotb was a reporter/anchor for WWL-TV in New Orleans from 1992 to 1998. She joined NBC in 1998 as a national journalist and has continued to work with the network ever since. The journalist also has worked as a reporter on Dateline NBC’s television show since 1998. From 2004 to 2008, she hosted the syndicated weekly show ‘Your Total Health’.
Kotb has been a cohost on the 4th hour, NBC’s NBC’s Today Show since 2007. She was featured in two episodes of The Law & Order Special Victims Unit in 2014. Kotb was a celebrity judge on Brothers Take New Orleans two years later. In 2017, she was Miss Sweetgum on the animated television series Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
